Happy New Year to all, hope that you all had a great festive season, we had an interesting break and now it is time to get back into the dog world.  Curry has a lovely litter of 5 girls and 2 boys, sired by Costalot Captain Jack Sparrow.  We are so excited to see how they grow and who will join us on our journey.   Wishing all the best for the comming year and keep us posted as to what you are doing.

November
Things have been quiet for a month but the girls have finally co operated and Meg teamed with Bounce and their litter is due mid December and Curry went for a visit to see Costalot Captain Jack Sparrow and their litter is due mid January so looking forward to see what the girls can give me.  Triple now Pippa has joined John and Rosemary and will teach them the joys of owning a stafford and Clue joins Natasha and her family soon, while it is never easy for me to say good bye to those dogs that have lived at Kumbari it is always always always about honouring the dog and giving them the best that life can be.  I thank all the wonderful families that have chosen to enjoy a dog, young and old that has spent time at Kumbari - we know that you will bring the best to our beloved Stafford.

January
What a roller coaster for the past three months, but I am pleased to say that we are back on track and rearing to go.  Clue and Bond have two lovely babies, the bitch 'Ariel' will be spending her life with Marianne and Mick and the boy is looking for his life long family.  Although I haven't entered any shows, I am looking forward to catching up with everyone very soon.

2012
September
Two wonderful weekends in a row.  August 26, a wonderful Edurance Test at Kingaroy and Bond easily passes, thanks to Frith for generously riding the bike.  Sept 1/2 I took Poison to Wondai for her second show outing and she aced Minor of Breed both days, thanks to the O'Connor girls for your magic, Poison seemed to enjoy the whole thing and thinks that she might like to be a show dog.  Trouble's pups all left, we wish them all the best on life's adventure.  Kelli has retained a girl, Beryl and we look forward to what her life will bring.  Next stop Nanango Kennel Club shows, that will be a busy enjoyable time.

June
Sorry for not updating it has been a bit silly for a while.  Great show at Nanango in April and while I wasn't entered the team did an awesome job.  Rice won Minor in Show at Burnett in May, she did her daddy proud, thanks to Carol Speed for acknowledging her.  OT and Rally at Nanango in June - lots of fun.  Sadly we said goodbye to Maddie, the last Wombat girl, we know that this is great lose for Marianne and Samantha, thanks for all the love you gave her.  HAPPY SECOND BIRTHDAY to FLOWA, who would have thought that we would get here.  Wishing Rock much love with his new family.  Kelli has mated Trouble to Axlestaff Gomez, puppies due in a couple of weeks, puppies will be whelped and raised here as Kelli is  little busy.  Congrats to Two and Kevin for their Rally O titles.  I believe they are the first staffords in Qld to get Rally Advanced titles, Kevin got 3 from 3 in one day not bad for a very old man.  I have started training Bond for the August Endurance Test and continue to enjoy the dogs and all that they give.

March
Meg's babies have gone to their new home, we wish Grace and Sarbre a long and happy life and look forward to seeing them grow.  We will see how our two go.  Rice and her brothers are keeping me busy, and I can't wait till they develope their manners - laughing a lot.

January

Hoping all are well with the comming of the new year.  Luckily it has started better than 2011 ended.
My two best boys had to leave suddenly, Sailor, Ch.Bulgaroo Jumping Jack, my dear whippet, aged 15 left on September 9 and was followed too soon by Spider, Ch.Warree Injun Joe, on December 6, aged 8 1/2,  a very large hole has been left by them, special boys that had a very special place in my heart.  Judy, Kumbari Out N About also lost her battle in December, we have said goodbye to far too many of our companions this year.  Luckily I had taken the opportunity to repeat the mating with Curry and Spider, from that will stay Rice, a bitch and I have retained 2 boys, Bounce and Gossip, hoping that one of the boys will make the grade.  Meg and Quill have had 3 bitches and a dog, all are powering and I look forward to seeing how they grow.  I am going to retain the dog and a bitch, so there is two girls available.  I had a great time at Burnett Kennel Club on the New Years weekend with Trouble really starting to put it together, probably just in time for Kelli to decide to mate her, but in the mean time we will continue to enjoy our outings.    Dog training is starting after the break and the shows will start in earnest in March, so looking forward to getting out and having a good time with the dogs.  Happy birthday to the 'Sun' and 'Water' litters and thank you to those of you who took the time to email back.  Pats and hugs for all our Kumbari Kids.

2011
December
Wishing all a merry christmas, a safe, happy and healthy, 2012.   Meg - Kumbari W W W ET is expecting bubba's mid Jan - Thank you to Jenine 'Toplace' for allowing me to use her young boy, Quill - Orazz Fideus Ad Mortem.  I am looking forward to their arrival.

November
Curry and Spider have a loverly litter of 2 bitches and 5 males, we still have a couple of boys available.  Curry has been her usual super mum and Spider is just interested in the other girls that are on heat.  Clue, Axlstaff Pandora Hevens Fire has joined us and we are enjoying having another young dog in the family.  Some of our friends have gone to new families and we know that they will continue to make the lives of those new people richer for having them.

August
13 and 14 saw the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of Qld Inc hold a massive double champ show weekend.  Thankfully Gyro took me to see day 1's show.  An enormous entry of 300, Julana and her team of merry men did an awesome job, thank you.  I had the pleasure of introducing the Veterans in the Parade of Veterans, it was loverly to see the oldies enjoying themselves.  Kelli organized an Agility demo during the luch break - that was a hit.  This month Two has gained more agility and jumpers qualies and Meg breezed her Endurance Test.  Sailor celebrates his 15th birthday on the 23rd.

May
Congrats to Kelli Foo and Two on another Agility Title.   Nanango double shows were a great sucess and I thank everyone for their help.  We managed to get to a couple of shows with Flower and Trouble.  Trouble is travelling great and won a couple of Reserve Challenges and Best of Breed.  Quiet time for the shows for the next couple of months.  Babies are growing well and they continue to be a lot of fun.

March
All our puppies have now begun their lives with their new families, we wish them all the very best.  We hope that the Curry boy and girl that are staying with us grow up to have lots of fun.  With 12 babies we haven't made it to the local shows, but we hope that the boy, Rivers, and the girl, Siren, will be out in the world after Nanango.  Congrats to Kelli Foo and Two on another Agility Title.   Nanango double shows are on in a few weeks and I thank everyone for their help.

February
A dry start to the month both in weather and dog activities.  Mia and Curry are doing a super job of raising theirs pups and are now working towards weaning them.

January
Can you believe the events of the last few weeks.  Hard to get my head around the amount of water that has fallen from the sky.  We have been so dry for so long and then in December we had 380 mm and in the first 10 days of January we have had 410 mm, there have been years in the past 20 when we didn't get that much rain in a year.  There have been some changes here with our furry partners, Dave (rescue stafford), Flick, Jade (ex puppy farm RSPCA foster Labrador) and Peach found new homes, we know that they are all settling in well to their new lives and we wish them and their new families all the very best, we also said goodbye to our beloved Glory - she joins our many other companions at Rainbow Bridge.  Mia and Curry have both whelped successfully, I am proud of both girls - they have been great mothers and we look forward to watching the puppies grow.

2010
November
So times have been crazy here all the girls have been on heat so the boys are beside themselves.  I have mated a couple of girls, so hopefully we will have stafford babies mid January.  I will keep you posted.  Gyro is at sea till end of January.  Congratulations to the Foo family - Louise and Two on achieving another agility title each and Two has gained 2 qualies in open obedience, wishing her luck for the last leg.  I won't be able to make it down for the Stafford show but know that my thoughts are with you and I wish you all the very best of luck.

September
Dog Qld have started an Accredited Breeders scheme for those of us who do the right thing with their puppies, buyers and dogs.  We will not be lumped in with the 'puppy farmers'.  I am pleased to announce that I have been granted accreditation, thanks to those friends and peers who supported me through the process.  Good luck to those of you who have enbarked on the journey.  For more information about the scheme please visit Dogs Qld website.

August
Way to go Team Stafford, Bruce, Rush and Two achieve their Endurance Test titles on August 22, at Kingaroy.  Special thanks to the bike riders, Frith, Sally and Wayne - great job guys - I couldn't have done it with out you.   They have a page of their own on this site if you need to know more.  Bruce and Meg had a loverly visit from their first mum and it has been decided that they will spend the rest of their days living with us.  We know that has been a tough decision, but Bruce and Meg love it with us, and we love them back.  Another great week end, Curry becomes a Champion at Wondai.

July
Well have we had our trials and tribulations of late.  Now that I can take a breath I'll let you catch up.  DIMM's puppies are now 8 wks and all 6 pups, DIMM, and I have made it, with special thanks to Dr.Trinity Bywater of Nanango Vet Surgery, who not only gave us the medical help but also the emotional assistance to get us through what was a very difficult time.  Hope that you will see Gyro's little treasures around in the near future.  We lost Spice to a black snake on June 10 and WUD had 4 days in hospital with pancreatitis, but all is well now.  Jade continues to make improvements and has passed her behavioural assesment and listed for adoption with the RSPCA.  On a much brighter note - congrats to Kelli and Two, who achieved her jumping novice title in six days in July.  We are heading off to the endurance test at the end of August and then to Wondai shows - watch this space

May
Sorry to have missed the Stafford show on May 1, but we just could not face another long drive, sounds like it was a great day and congrats to the committee for another fine effort, Julana is the miracle maker with the change in judge due to no flights from Europe.  We wandered over to Kingaroy and Wondai shows with some very mixed results.  DIMM won Best Of Breed at all three shows - she is really on a roll.  Curry got nothing at Kingaroy, Best In Show at Wondai Open Show and Reserve Challenge at the champ show and Gyro won the $100 raffle - so all in all a great time.

April
Another great weekend with Nanango shows, thanks to all the hard work from our dedicated team of hard workers, the event was very successfull.  Curry had a nice win with Best In Group at the Ag show on Saturday and Open In Group on the Friday.   She followed that the next weekend with Challenge at Mt Perry and the following Saturday with Challenge at Caboolture Kennel Club in the pouring rain.  And we just won't mention the Toowoomba Royal - congrats to the winners.  Trouble continues to be promissing and Bond is just Bond.  We had a crazy time driving back and forth to mate DIMM - so we'll wait and see how that goes.  I think that Spice has missed or maybe just the one - time will tell.  Well done to Kelli's Two on Qualifing for her novice title.

March
The month started well with super rainfall, now the dam is full, the tanks are full, the cows are fat, there is lots of grass for winter, the creek is flowing and all is well in god's country.  Then the month ended great with Gyro's special Bull Terrier girl gaining her championship at Goombungee show.  Our new girl Trouble had a good start to her show career with Baby of Breed, so we are keeping everything x'd in hope that she continues to grow well.  Curry followed her reserve challenges at Proston and Murgon with Open in Group at Goombungee.  I have mated Spice to Stafaholic Distintion, so we'll wait to see what happens and look forward (lol) to mating Dimm when she comes on season soon.  Next event will be our own Nanango KC show on April 9, and I wish everyone a happy easter.

January
We had a very sad start to the year with the lose of our own Adam and a number of our special friends, Ch Hardroad Red Riot and OC Cherabah Illusion ET, our thoughts are with our friends at this time.  On a brighter note, Kumbari Mix N Match whelped 6 kids on January 10 sired by Costalot Solo Man, I look forward to watching these kids grow.  We have been joined by 3 babies, 2 girls and a dog from Kumbari Ravishing Red and Sire Ch.Ourgang Dont Stop Me Now, these puppies were bred by Kelli Foo (Stafaholic) so more to watch for.  The show season has started slowly, but Gyro's Bull Terrier bitch picked up a nice win at Toowoomba

2009
December
I had another great night at the Stafford Show on December 12, the club, particularly Julana must be applauded for yet another super event.  I had the great honour of presenting the veterans parade, it was awsome to see some grand ole lady's out for the big event.  Congratulations to Jenine, Carla and Mimi on Best In Show.  On a very sad note we said good bye to 'Simon' aka The golden child (Stafaholic Blessed CCD CDX) and blessed we have been to know such an active, agile, in your face dog, he will be sadly missed.  We'll be having a break over xmas, but back in to the show scene on January 2.

November
Congratulations to Kelli's Two on gaining her CCD title.

October
Nanango Kennel Club's double Championship shows on September 25 & 26 are now just a memory.  A huge thank you to the team for another great job, I have had plenty of positive comments on the running of the show, the food (thanks for the tireless efforts of Leslie and her merry crew) etc, the grounds looked the best that they have done for many years (thanks to the ongoing work from Val and Barry).  Friday saw Bruce win Res CC and Curry win the bitch challenge.  Kelli's Two qualified for her first leg in CCD at Metro Trial.  We will now work towards the Nanango obedience double header on October 10 & 11.

September
Burnett KC Champ show and Bruce does us proud, winning Best of Breed, Reserve in Group, Open in Group and Open in Show,  Curry also won a close Reserve Bitch Challenge.  Costalot Solo Man - sired by Bruce was awared Minor in Group.  My Nanango team are all working hard preparing for our double show on September 25 & 26. Have a great school holiday.

August
August 23, Curry achieves her Endurance Title.  After 5 months of trianing and lots of stress, she breezed it in.  Completing the 20 km run with ease.  Special thanks to Leeane for riding the bike during the test.  And to our support crew, Maria and Sam.  Having never prepared a dog for this type of event before, I was pretty stressed then came the weather forcast - the hottest August day for 100 years (more stress) but 'Curry' had other ideas, she just kept trotting and trotting and trotting at the 10kph, required by the test.  She now is having a well earned cut back in excercise.  I believe she is the first stafford bitch in Qld to achieve this title.

July
Steve and I celebrated our 25th wedding aniversary on July 1. My goodness where does the time go.  It's been very quiet on the dog show front, just one trip to Isis Kennel Club where Bruce proudly came back with Best of Breed and Curry enjoyed winning the Open Bitch class.  Nanango Kennel Club held it's Obedience Sweepstakes and TWO out of the three classes were wone by Staffords.  Julie Needer and her Lilly won Open Class with 181 pts and Kelly and Luther won the Novice Class.  Luther can now look forward to trialling in Novice.

June
Sadly on June 10 we said good bye to some of our beloved fur family.  'Wombat' (Hobbitshire Spot Blue) aged 13, you can finally relax, 'Tipper' our stumpy tailed cattle dog, aged 16 - aka dangerous dog, and 'Trooper' the grey pony that many children have learned to ride on aged about 35 years old.  All three of these came to live with us unplanned and now they have all moved on to the Rainbow Bridge so much under that bridge.

May
Had to miss the Stafford show because of babies, just too long to leave them.  Curry got her first Challenge at her second All Breeds Show.  Coodarox Miss Chevious whelped 10 puppies to Spider on May 2 and Flamstrike Red Warrior whelped 6 pups to Spider on May 8, the ole boy has a smile on his dial.  Costalot Blockbusta attains his Australian Championship (Way to go), another 'Spider' champion.  Costalot Soloman wins another Baby Puppy in Show.  With our grateful assistance from Julana Akers and Jo Woodrow 'Peach' has been mated to NZ.Ch.Australian Ch.Belleden Devil Ov Orion - just wait to see what happens.  May 29, we celebrated Simon's (Stafaholic Blessed CCD CDX) fifth birthday, who'da thought that we would get this far.

April
Spice whelps 5 healthy puppies.  Sired by Bruce - no suprizes here but a big Red and white pied boy.  Had a great visit from Maria and Samantha Frazer (past active Stafford Club members) with Maddie (Wombat daughter) and Sid.

March
Peach gains her Australian Championship.  I am thrilled to be awarded an award by the Master Dog Breeders and Associates.  This is an Australian Award for Excellence in Contribution to Canine Affairs.  The nomination was very humbling, to be awarded by your peers for something that you love, leaves me speachless.  It never crossed my mind that I would win - last years winner was Clover Moore.

January
Meg whelps 3 loverly Puppies.  Sired by Bruce

October
Where the hell did that year go.  I am so very happy that we have had such a great one.  Haven't done many shows for the year but Bounce is comming along nicely and has picked up a few Best of Breeds.  Trouble has a nice litter for Kelli, Two had got her first qualifier in UD and I have just mated Meg to Bounce.  Unfortunately Clue and Triple have not made the grade as show dogs so they are currently looking for new families.  Bond and Koda have joined amazing families and are totally enjoying their new lives.  I am so grateful to family and friends that have made this last year such a good one.  I look forward to continuing to 'Live the Dream'
